Ephraim PORTER

b. 9 Apr 1756 Stratford, Fairfield Co, CT
d. 27 Oct 1838 Liberty, Sullivan Co, NY (he should be buried there, but I don't know which cemetery)

wife said to be Sarah (surname unknown) who d. between 1810-1820 at Liberty, Sullivan Co, OH

Ephraim was a Private in the Connecticut Line during the Revolutionary War. He lived in Stratford, CT until 1810, then moved to Sullivan Co, NY. Rev. War Pension File (S28846) lists children Gershom & Thomas, of Liberty, NY, Polly Adgate & Patience Russell, of Ohio, and Abijah, of Bridgeport, CT, all living on 31 Dec 1844. Statement in file adds youngest surviving son, Alanson, living in Ohio in 1845.
